珍しい、白と紫の花がミックスして咲いています。

I wonder what kind of flower this is, a mixture of purple and white.

Cafe at Home - hot sandwich

おうちカフェ- ホットサンド

今日のお昼はおうちカフェでホットサンド。

かなり前に買って、しまい込んでいたホットサンドメーカーを取り出して

最近の週末はこのパターンです。

残り物で簡単に美味しく出来るので気に入ってます。

今日は残っていたサラミとチーズを挟みました。

Today we had hot sandwich at the Cafe at Home.

Recently, every weekend we use the hot sandwich maker that

we haven't used for a long time.

It is an easy way to make left over food delicious.

Today I use left over salami and cheese.

Kaleidoscope in Lane Cove Plaza

レインコーブプラザのカレイドスコープ

カレイドスコープとは万華鏡のことです。

万華鏡のようにいろんな人種がミックスして一緒になると言う意味でしょう。

夕方から開催された他民族フェステイバルでいろんな国のダンスの披露がありました。

Today in Lane Cove Plaza we had a celebration called "Kaleidoscope".

It means a chance for people of different cultures to mix.

In the early evening there was a multicultural festivals

with different countries dances.

すでに沢山の人がプラザにいました。
There were so many people in the Plaza.

日本からはソーラン節の披露
Soranbushi from Hokkaido Japan. It is a fisherman's dance.

子供達も一緒にソーラン節

Children joined the soranbushi on the stage.

仕事帰りだったので30分ぐらいしか見れなかったけど、なかなかいい雰囲気でした。

Because we came after work we only saw the last
thirty minutes of the festival. Here is the group photo at the end.

レインコーブのブラシの木に花が咲き始めました。

鮮やかな赤がとても綺麗です。

Bottle brush trees are starting to bloom at Lane Cove.

Ni-chan's home cooked pasta

にーちゃんの手料理パスタ

久しぶり、にーちゃんがディナーを作ってくてました。

会社に電話がかかってきて、今日はパスタを作ろうかと言ってきた時、

すぐにソーセージパスタかなと直感

。
It has been a long time since Ni-chan cooked anything,

but today he called me at work and suggested that he would cook pasta.

I said umm, yes but I knew that it would pasta with sausage.

.

やっぱりそうでした。

レパートリーが殆どないのでパスタの時はいつもソーセージがのっています。

Ah! as I thought - sausage.

He doesn't know many recipes and as you can see it was a bit burnt.

すごい、この焦げ焦げ

ちょっとガーリック風味で、見た目よりかなり美味しかったです。

ご馳走様！

It had a garlic taste but it tasted much better than it looks.

会社から帰ると、キッチンの窓からユーカリの木の向うに夕日が見えました。

Coming home from work I saw this sunset behind the gum trees

from my kitchen window.

Lorikeet and I

ロリキートと私

今日は3連休の最終日。

買い物を済ませて帰ってきたらロリキートがキッチンに飛んできました。

。

Today is the last day of the long three day weekend.

When we came home from shopping,

a pair of lorikeets came to our kitchen window.

この後アクシデントが。。。。

。

パンを食べ終わってしばらく遊んでいたので,

私はリビングルームに引っ込んでいたら一羽がリビングルームに飛んできたのです。

こんなことは初めて

私もにーちゃんもびっくり！

バルコニーにいたもう一羽のパートナーもびっくり！

外からすごい鳴き声で、部屋に入ったパートナーを呼んでいました。

部屋に入ったロリキートは結構おとなしく、でも外に出ようと努力していたのですが、

窓がしまっていたのですぐには逃げられす、窓を開けて逃がしてあげました。

飛びたってすぐにパートナーと合流

ギャーギャー鳴きながらまた2羽でバルコニーに飛んで来て飛び去りました。

文句を言いに来たのか、礼を言いに来たのか分かりませんが。。？

でも怪我がなく良かった！

。

After this, an accident happened...

。

They were finishing the bit of bread I gave them and

I left the kitchen and went into the living room.

Then suddenly, one of the lorikeets came into

the house through the kitchen window!

This was the first time I ever saw that.

We were so surprised!

The other lorikeet waiting outside was surprised too

it began calling very very loud to the other one in the house.

The one inside was very quiet but tried to escape

but it couldn't because the window in the living room was closed.

So we opened the window for him to leave.

As soon as he was free the two of them flew away together.

A few minutes later the two of them came back to the balcony

and made a lot of noise - maybe they were complaining or

saying thanks for the rescue, we are not sure.

Magpie and Lorikeets

Sydney's daylight saving starts today.

シドニーは今日からサマータイムに入ります。

日本との時差は2時間になります。

Today while I was taking photos of the lorikeets,

a magpie came to the balcony.

There are many living around here

but I can rarely take a photo because they are not friendly like the lorikeets

and fly away whenever I come close.

ちょうどロリキートの写真を撮っている時、メッグパイが飛んできました。

黒白の鳥で、この辺に結構いるんですが、

近づくとすぐ飛んでいくのでロリキートみたいに簡単に撮影できませんでした。

It rained on and off all day today.

As usual, lorikeets came to my balcony to play.

今日は、一日中雨が降ったりやんだりしていました。

いつものようにロリキートたちが遊びにきました。

Last night we went to Wayne's birthday party.

John cooked the dinner.

昨夜はウェインのお誕生パーティーに呼ばれにーちゃんと一緒に行ってきました。

Chicken Karaage don

On week days I'm working, so I think about making dinners

which are quick and easy to prepare.

recently, this one is my favorite.

Just cut chicken karaage that I bought from a Japanese take-away shop

on the way home with vegetables I cooked served on rice.

平日は仕事があるのでいつも時間が掛からない料理を考えてます。

最近のお気に入りはこれ。

炒めた野菜と帰りに買ってきた唐揚げを切ってあつあつご飯にのせるだけです。

Just after I came home there was a big hailstorm.

It only lasted a few minutes.

家に帰って来たとたんに雹が降ってきました。

from Circular Quay stations yesterday.

It is always taking photos of Sydney harbour from anywhere.

昨日、仕事で出かける用事が出来たのでサーキュラーキー駅の構内から、

携帯カメラで撮影してみました。

シドニーハーバーはどこから撮っても絵になりますね。
