背伸びしている天助、天子/Tensuke,Tenoko stretch

今日も夕方、天助と天子が遊びに来ました。

特に、にーちゃんに懐いていて、

ヒマワリの種を、背伸びして見ている姿がとても可愛かったです。

Tensuke and Tenko came to our balcony this late afternoon.

Especially they take to Ni-chan and

look so cute stretched themselves looking for sun flower seeds.

シドニーは3月に入ってから10日ぐらい雨が降り続いて、

毎日のように、家に来ていたロリキートの天助と天子が全く来なくなっていました。

にーちゃんとよく「天助達はどうしてるのかな？？」って話していて、

もう自分たちのペットの様に心配していました。

ここ4,5日天気になっても来ず、すごーく気になっていました。

。

今朝、バルコニーのドアを開けていたら。。

可愛い鳴き声が聞こえてきました。

 

わー！2週間ぶりに天助、天子に再会です！！

普段は朝は餌を与えないのですが、今日は特別です。

天子が飛び立った瞬間

近くの木から他のロリキートの鳴き声が聞こえるので、

天子は気になってます。

紫蘇の花/Shiso flowers

シドニーは3日続きの雨です。

2年前に友達のあやちゃんから鉢植えごと貰った紫蘇です。

今年も薬味として活躍してくれた紫蘇に沢山の花がついていました。

It has been raining the last three days here in Sydney.

I got this shiso about two years ago from Aya.

There are so many flowers and this summer we use shiso a lot as a spice

去年の11月の写真です。
一昨年前の枯れた茎の間から新しく育ってきている紫蘇です。

This is last year's photo of the same plant。
The shiso was growing between the dead stems of another shiso plant.

シドニーでは紫蘇は殆ど売ってないので、
来夏は数株育つように工夫して、友達にも分けてあげたいです。

頑張ります。みんな待っていてね！

shiso is hard to find in Sydney, so I will try to grow more because I want to share them with my friends.
Everyone wait for it!

最近の天助と天子/ Recent visit by Tensuke & Tenko

昨日の夕方、いつものように天助と天子がうちのバルコニーに遊びに来ました。

Yesterday late afternoon as usual, Tensuke & Tenko came to our balcony.

にーちゃんが餌を差し出すと即座に手のひらに飛んできます。

可愛いです！

When Ni-chan gives some seeds, they fly right to his hand.

So Cute!

ロリキートはオスが若干大きいらしいので

天子より一回り大きいこっちを天助と呼んでいます。

毛並みがよくてハンサムです。

Male lorikeets are a bit bigger that females.

This one we call Tensuke.

He has very nice feathers.

こっちは天子。

よく見ると口ばしがちょっとゆがんでますが、とても可愛い顔をしてます。

Here is Tenko.
If you look carefully you can see that her beak is a bit bent at the front

but she still has a very cute face.

多肉植物/Succulent plants

今日、クロズネストのマーケットで多肉植物2株を購入しました。

一つはオレンジ色、もう一つにはグレーがかった白い花が咲くそうです。

楽しみです！

Today I bought two new succulent plants at the Crows Nest market.

One plant will have orange colour and other one have gray white colour flowers.

I'm looking forward to it!!

ボンボン（盆栽）しか残ってない寂しいバルコニーに、

ちょっとだけアクセントがついて、気にいっています。

It seems better now that I have some plants other

than only Bon-Bon (my name for the bonsai) on the balcony.

 

ハイドパークと美術館/Hyde Park & Art Gallery NSW

ピカソのプライベー卜コレクションが美術館で展示されているので、

にーちゃんと一緒に行ってきました。

There is an exhibition of Picasso's private collection of his work

at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. I went with Ni-chan.

ハイドパークを通って行ったのでしばらく公園で写真撮影を楽しみました

We enjoyed taking some photos  going through Hyde Park on the way.

大きなチェスをプレイしてる人たち

People going for a walk or cycling.

パイドパークの向かいに在るセントメリー大聖堂
This is St.Mary's Cathedral in front of Hyde Park.

色とりどりの草花がとても綺麗です。

The many different coloured flowers are very beautiful.

ここにいるとヨーロッパにいるような雰囲気させられます。

This atmosphere I fell like I'm in Europe.

ハイド・パークを抜けてアートギャラリーロードに入る前の道路の真ん中に

サンドストーンでできた噴水（昔の水飲み場）があります。

On the Art Gallery Rd, from Hyde Park there is an old drinking fountain
that is now in the middle of the road.

アンティークオークション/Antiques auction

友達からアンティークオークションがあるのでいかないか？

と誘われて休暇を取って、にーちゃんと一緒に行ってきました。

ランチをご馳走になった後、アナンデールにある展示場に連れて行ってもらいました。

Last Thursday, I took a day off from work to go to the viewing
for an antique auction with some friends.

We had lunch together at their invitation then went to the exhibition in Annandale.



この日は、オークションに出されるものを展示公開する日で、

商品には1点1点に番号がつけられています。

This is the day before the auction. All the items that will auctioned are on display.

They have all been given a number to identify them.

小物から家具までいろんなものがありました。

There are so many things from small items such as jewellery

and big things like furniture and statues.

Japanese wood prints too.

Here is some pottery that came from a shipwreck.

The auction will be held at this place the next day.

今日は久しぶりに友達のジョンとポーリンと会って、楽しいひと時を過ごすことができました。

アンティークものの見方を教えてもらったり、いろいろと勉強になりました。

楽しい1日をありがとうございました。

Today it was great to see John and Pauline after such a long time.

I'm thankful  to have had the chance to learn so many things.

John showed me many things about antiques.

 I had a very good time.
