コッカトゥー島/Cockatoo Island

先週の日曜日、ゆう子ちゃんに誘われてコッカトゥーアイランドに行ってきました。

ここは、シドニー湾の中で一番大きな島で、

サーキュラーキーからフェリーで25分（直行便10分）ぐらいで着きます。

1800年代は刑務所として使わてその後1992年までに造船所として使われた島です。

Last Sunday, Yuko had the idea to go to Cokatoo Isaland, so we went with some friends.
This island is the biggest island in Sydney harbour, it took about 25 minutes to get there on the ferry from Circular Quay.

It was originally used as a prison when it was built around 1800
and late became a dock for ships until 1992.

この日は1日中曇りで写真の色は冴えませんが眺めは最高です。

It was cloudy all day, the colour of the photos are not great, but the view is fantastic.

丘から降りて来ると誰かが「エーリアン！」と言うので振り返ると。。。
When we went down from the hill somebody said ' Alien!' We looked back....

みかさん、よしこさん、ゆう子ちゃん

1時間半程島内を回った後は。。

After we went around the island - takes about one and half hours,

went to the The Island Bar

ウォーターフロント、ビーチ風バプ

On the waterfront like a beach pub.

初めてお会いしたみかさん、よしこさんともお友達になれて、

楽しい1日を過ごすことが出来ました。

ゆう子ちゃんありがとう！！

It was great meeting Mika and Yoshiko.

ロリキート赤ちゃん/Lorikeet chicks

　一昨日の朝、仕事に出かけようとしている時、

ベビーロリキートの鳴き声が聞こえたのでバルコニーに出てみると、

何と天子と天助が二羽の赤ちゃんを連れてきていました。

感動！！

The day before yesterday while I was getting ready to go to work

 I heard the sound of lorikeet chicks outside.

I went to the balcony - and WOW Tensuke and Tenko brought two babies! I was moved.

2羽の赤ちゃん達 - くちばしが黒っぽくて肥っています。

Here are the babies - they are fatter than the adults and have dark beaks.

いつの間にかに四羽家族に、びっくり！　

天子ママと天助パパは、時々赤ちゃん達にフィードしていました。

Sometimes Tesuke-papa and Teko-mama feed the babies.

BBQ パーティー/BBQ party at Lane Cove National Park

イースターホリデーの最後の日は、レインコーブのナショナルパークでクインズランドから

遊びに来てる和歌子さんとジョー、シドニー友達たちと一緒にBBQパーティーをしました。

We had BBQ party for Wakako and Joe visiting from Queensland

 on Easter Monday in Lane Cove National Park.

BBQの火で焼き芋を作ってみました。
初めて作りましたが上手く焼けて大満足です。

I made for the first time sweet potato on the BBQ.

I was really happy how it came out.

あみさんの特製のちらし寿司と餃子。

Ami's home-made sushi and gyoza.

It was so delicious!

今回は大人数で、楽しい一時を過ごす事が出来ました。

 It was a fun day!
