ジャーマンカフェでランチ/Lunch at Bavarian Beer Cafe

今日はオーストラリアデー

友達夫婦と一緒にシティーでお祝いしようと思ったのですが、

雨の為、となり町のクローズネストでランチをすることにしました。

３ヶ月前にオープンしたジャーマンカフェ

Today is Australia Day.

We planned to go into the city for the celebration, but because it was raining

 we decided to just have lunch in Crows Nest which is near our home.

We went to The Bavarian Bier Cafe.

オープンカフェのお洒落な店内です。

It's very stylish.

昼間から、ジャーマンビアとテースティングプレートでドイツ料理を満喫しました。
それにに友達のご主人はドイツからの居住者で、ますます
ドイツにいるような雰囲気にさせられました。

御蔭で、今日はちょっと変わった楽しいオーストラリアデイを過ごすことができました。


From early afternoon we enjoyed drinking German beer and tasting different kinds of German food.
We ate a lot and it was a very German experience because my friends husband is an immigrant from Germany.
It was a very interesting way to spend Australia Day.

ロリキートのカップル/lorikeets couple

エンジェルロリキートのカップルに名前をつけました。

毎日、うちのバルコニーに来ている天子と天助です。

I have named the 'angel lorikeets' Tenko and Tensuke.

Every day they come to our balcony.

The one on the left is Tenko, Tensuke is on the right.

最近はにーちゃんにすごくなついていてこんな事もします。

Now they seem to be very friendly with Ni-chan as you can see.

エンジェル ロリキート/Angel lorikeets

いつものようにロリキートのカップルがうちのバルコニーに遊びに来てくれました。

As usual, a lorikeet couple came to our balcony.

あっ！でも今日は何かが違う？？

Ah! But today, something is different.

天使みたいな羽がついてます。

They have little extra wings - like angels.

それもカップルで。

Not just one of them, both of them.

シドニーではロリキートがうちに来るのは珍しいことではありませんが、

天使の羽をつけているのを見るのは始めてです。

それにしてもどうして？

特別な日のお洒落？

In Sydney it is not unusual for lorikeets to come to ones house,
 but this is the first time I've seen a lorikeet with the "angel wings".

A wonder why they have them. Is today a special day for them and they are dressed up??
