My balcony today

今日のバルコニー

It was nice and warm today.

I cleaned the balcony and re-arranged the balcony.

The radish never grew, so I changed the dirt

and sowed the seeds of leek in a wood planter.

I hope this time it will grow.

今日は天気がよく、暖かかったのでバルコニーの掃除と、

ちょっとだけ配置換えをしてみました。

ラディシュは結局育たなかったので、土を全部替えて、

樽風プランターには長ネギの種を蒔きました。

今度は育つと良いのですが。。。

The daisy is growing so much.

雛菊はこんなにいっぱい育ってます。

Late this afternoon, a cockatoo came to our balcony

I took some photos of the cockatoo like portrait.

This morning was nice weather, I was just about to do the washing

but suddenly a big storm with rain and hail came.

今朝は、すごくいい天気で、洗濯でもしようと思ったら

急に大雨、雹まで降ってきました。

It cleared up in the afternoon.

お昼には、またいい天気になりました。

Ni-chan had planned to a charcoal BBQ since yesterday.

にーちゃんが昨日から計画していた炭焼きBBQ

Usually we only use this BBQ for a plant stand.

It was very dusty but he did a good job.

いつも植木置きにしているBBQコンロ

かなり錆びていますが今日は大活躍です。

Test test - Onion sprout

試食ー玉ねぎの芽

It has been about 6 weeks since the first bud appeared.

It is growing well in the kitchen.

芽が出始めて約1ヶ月半

キッチンでこんなに育ちました。

I made fries eggs with onion sprouts mixed with soy sauce and cheese.

It is true, they are edible.

It has a mild taste a bit between a leek and onion but it is not too strong.

玉ねぎの芽入り玉子焼きを作ってみました。

ほんとに食べられるのですね。

ネギと玉ねぎの間のあまり癖がないマイルドな味でした。

I have enjoyed looking it everyday,

it was not a bad idea not to throw it away.

毎日大きくなるのを見てるのも楽しかったし、

芽が出たら捨てずにこんな方法でもいいと思いますよ。

Today Ni-Chan and I went for a walk and to a market at church in Longueville Rd.

今日はにーちゃんと二人で、ロングビルにある教会で

マーケットがあると言うので散歩がてらに行ってみました。

It was very small market in the church with some cakes and food

and handmade and second hand goods.

I bought a pot of daisies for my garden.

教会の中の小さなバーザーで、手芸品、食器、ケーキ、プラント等ありました。

私はバルコニーに雛菊を買いました。

When we got to the plaza there were many families listening to the music

that a jazz band was playing.

お昼にプラザに戻って来たらすでに沢山の家族が

Heritage Craft Fair at St. Ives

セントアイビスのヘリテッジクラフトフェアー

It's already August.

Today I went with Yuko to St. Ives for the craft market.

It was the first time we went there, we were a little bit excited.

From Chatswood it took about 40 minutes on a train and a bus to get there.

もう8月ですね。

今日は、ゆうこちゃんと一緒に"Heritage Craft Fair"

セントアイビスのマーケットに行ってきました。

ゆうこちゃんも私もこのマーケットは初めてです。

ちょっとワクワク？しながら。。。

Chatswoodから電車とバスに乗り継いで40分ぐらいで着きました。

いろいろと試食し回って、

私はこのペストを買いました。

This is a country style market which has many attractions for children too.

カントリースタイルで子供たちのアトラクションも多いマーケットです。

There were many many dogs.

Next door there was a dog show where the dogs had a competition.

犬を連れている人が多いと思ったら,

隣で犬の競技会が開かれていました。

The dogs had a course to run through.

I really enjoyed seeing this competition.

The dogs were really cute and

I liked watching them but I enjoyed watching the owners even more.

この障害物競技は見ていてすごく楽しめます。

ワンちゃん達も可愛いのですが、

オーナーの指示を見てるのも結構楽しめました。

Going home we caught the bus from this place that doesn't even have a footpath.

帰りのバス停が歩道が無い所にありました。
