雨上がりの後。。/After the rain

昨日の夕立後、びしょ濡れになってキッチンの窓から覗いているロリキート達です。

頭のところが可愛いですね！！

この季節になると、家の前にあるの松の木の実を食べにくるのです。

This time of the year, they come to enjoy the nine nuts from
the tree in front of our house.

Lorikeet and I

ロリキートと私

今日は3連休の最終日。

買い物を済ませて帰ってきたらロリキートがキッチンに飛んできました。

。

Today is the last day of the long three day weekend.

When we came home from shopping,

a pair of lorikeets came to our kitchen window.

。

この後アクシデントが。。。。

。

パンを食べ終わってしばらく遊んでいたので,

私はリビングルームに引っ込んでいたら一羽がリビングルームに飛んできたのです。

こんなことは初めて

私もにーちゃんもびっくり！

バルコニーにいたもう一羽のパートナーもびっくり！

外からすごい鳴き声で、部屋に入ったパートナーを呼んでいました。

部屋に入ったロリキートは結構おとなしく、でも外に出ようと努力していたのですが、

窓がしまっていたのですぐには逃げられす、窓を開けて逃がしてあげました。

飛びたってすぐにパートナーと合流

ギャーギャー鳴きながらまた2羽でバルコニーに飛んで来て飛び去りました。

文句を言いに来たのか、礼を言いに来たのか分かりませんが。。？

でも怪我がなく良かった！

。

After this, an accident happened...

。

They were finishing the bit of bread I gave them and

I left the kitchen and went into the living room.

Then suddenly, one of the lorikeets came into

the house through the kitchen window!

This was the first time I ever saw that.

We were so surprised!

The other lorikeet waiting outside was surprised too

it began calling very very loud to the other one in the house.

The one inside was very quiet but tried to escape

but it couldn't because the window in the living room was closed.

So we opened the window for him to leave.

As soon as he was free the two of them flew away together.

A few minutes later the two of them came back to the balcony

and made a lot of noise - maybe they were complaining or

saying thanks for the rescue, we are not sure.

Sydney's daylight saving starts today.

シドニーは今日からサマータイムに入ります。

日本との時差は2時間になります。

Today while I was taking photos of the lorikeets,

a magpie came to the balcony.

There are many living around here

but I can rarely take a photo because they are not friendly like the lorikeets

and fly away whenever I come close.

ちょうどロリキートの写真を撮っている時、メッグパイが飛んできました。

黒白の鳥で、この辺に結構いるんですが、

近づくとすぐ飛んでいくのでロリキートみたいに簡単に撮影できませんでした。

It rained on and off all day today.

As usual, lorikeets came to my balcony to play.

今日は、一日中雨が降ったりやんだりしていました。

いつものようにロリキートたちが遊びにきました。

Is that the lorikeet that often comes to our house?

He has the same injury on the side of his head.

He and his partner haven't come for about three weeks and we wondered

what had happened to them.

Ah! no wonder he's having nice food in the cafe.

もしかしたらよく家に来るロリキートじゃない？？

頭に傷があるからわかるんです。

ここ3週間ほど見てないねっ話ていたら、カフェでお食事していたんですね。

でも、パートナーはどこ？
