この花の運命

ロリキートの餌用のヒマワリの種が植木鉢に紛れ込んで

すくすくと育っていました。

前にも1回こんなことがありましたが、途中で枯れてしまいました。

2月13日

ロリキートも私達も開花するのを毎日楽しみにしてました。

2月20日

1週間前に比べると蕾が大分大きくなっていました。

2月20日

昨日は,シドニーは1日中暴風雨で、

心配したにーちゃんが枝が折れるかもしれないから

隣のバルコニー（風が当たりにくい）に移せば？

私「大丈夫、そのままで。」

蕾が少し開いてます。

2月23日

今朝、

天気がよくなってヒマワリちゃんも無事。

まだ花は完全に咲き開いてなかったのですが、

後2－3日かな？と楽しみにしていました。

こんなことになりました。

紫蘇の花/Shiso flowers

シドニーは3日続きの雨です。

2年前に友達のあやちゃんから鉢植えごと貰った紫蘇です。

今年も薬味として活躍してくれた紫蘇に沢山の花がついていました。

It has been raining the last three days here in Sydney.

I got this shiso about two years ago from Aya.

There are so many flowers and this summer we use shiso a lot as a spice

去年の11月の写真です。
一昨年前の枯れた茎の間から新しく育ってきている紫蘇です。

This is last year's photo of the same plant。
The shiso was growing between the dead stems of another shiso plant.

シドニーでは紫蘇は殆ど売ってないので、
来夏は数株育つように工夫して、友達にも分けてあげたいです。

頑張ります。みんな待っていてね！

shiso is hard to find in Sydney, so I will try to grow more because I want to share them with my friends.
Everyone wait for it!

多肉植物/Succulent plants

今日、クロズネストのマーケットで多肉植物2株を購入しました。

一つはオレンジ色、もう一つにはグレーがかった白い花が咲くそうです。

楽しみです！

Today I bought two new succulent plants at the Crows Nest market.

One plant will have orange colour and other one have gray white colour flowers.

I'm looking forward to it!!

ボンボン（盆栽）しか残ってない寂しいバルコニーに、

ちょっとだけアクセントがついて、気にいっています。

It seems better now that I have some plants other

than only Bon-Bon (my name for the bonsai) on the balcony.

 

人参の葉/Carrot leaves

冷蔵庫に入れていた人参から芽が出ていたので先を切って土の中に植えてみたら。。。

One day I noticed that a carrot in the refrigerator had a bud
then I shortened it and planted it in a planter.

数週間で青々とした綺麗な葉が繁ってきました。

Within in a few weeks beautiful green leaves had grown a lot

人参の葉って食べれるそうで、ネットで調べてみると結構レシピが載っていました。

人参の葉なんて食べた事無いので、ちょっと試しに,

オリーブオイルでさっと炒めて塩、胡椒、醤油で頂いてみました。

結構美味しかったです。

Carrot leaves are edible and I found many recipes on the internet.

 I had never tried them before,

I cooked with olive oil, salt and pepper with soy sauce.

 It was quite nice.

簡単に育つので今度は器に入れて

家の中で観葉植物として育てててもいいかなと思いました。

綺麗な葉なので料理の飾りにしてもいいですよね。

It is very easy to grow so next time I will put them into a nice pot
and use them for house plants.
They make a nice decoration on dishes I cook.

ちょっとした楽しみ/It's fun seeing!

バルコニーの隣に洗濯物を干す場所があって、そこに土だけのプランターを置いてます。

2週間ぐらい前に気がついたのですか、何かが発芽していました。

We have a seperate part of our balcony that is used as an area to hang washing.

 I had a pot of soil there that I wasn't using.

I realized about two weeks ago, something germinated.

この前日に見た時は黒い種皮かぶっていて何か分からなかったのですが。。

どうも、ヒマワリのようです。

それに双葉の下にはからになったヒマワリの種が落ちてました。

ロリキートにあげてる餌用ヒマワリの種がプランターに舞い込んだんですね。

When I looked at one day before  it was a black seed coated and didn't know what it was.

I think it might be a Sunflower that came from the seeds that we feed lorikeets.

すごい生命力のヒマワリちゃん、毎日ちょっと楽しみになってきました。

シドニーは昨日、今日と雨で気温が18度前後です。

This great vitality sunflower!

It's fun seeing it grow every day.

Sydney is rainy today and yesterday, and temperature is around 18 degrees. 

 

 

アボンビューのつぼみ/ Avonview buds

雨上がりの今朝のバルコニー。

ラベンダー ”アボンビュー”のつぼみが色づき開花し始めました。

After the rain on our balcony this morning.

The Avonview lavender plant buds are changing colour have begun to open. 

ラベンダ/Lavender

前からバルコニーに置きたかったラベンダが仲間入りしました。

テラコッタ鉢に植え替え、どこに置こうかとあっちこっちに移動させながら。。。

The newest plant we have is Lavender, which I always wanted for our balcony.

I changed it into the terracotta pot and moved it to many different places 

to find the best position

私は、このブリックとブリックに置いた方が感じがいいかな？

と思ったのですが。。

にーちゃんがもっと日が当たる所がいいのではと言うので、結局ここに置くことにしました。

I thought here was a good place between the others,

 but Ni-chan said that maybe it would be better in a place where it could catch the sun.

最近のバルコニー/ Balcony update

先週、すごく寂しくなっていたバルコニーに、
パディントンのマーケットで買ったプラントを、樽プタンターや,
テラコッタの鉢に移し替えたりしてリアレンジしてみました。

Recently our balcony looked so bare so I bought some plants in Paddington market last week and rearranged planting into pots.

今週のシドニーは大雨続きでしたが,

今日はちょっとだけお日様が 顔をだしてくれました。

This week we had lots of heavy rain but today the sun appeared short time.

ちょっとお花があるだけで、バルコニーが明るくなります。

ロリキー達も鑑賞してくれているようで？？

嬉しくなりますね！

Some flowers make the balcony looks nice.

Even lorrikeets seem to enjoy looking at it??

長ネギ

It has been almost a month since I sowed the seeds.

They are growing well.

Now I found out that I have to replant them in a bigger space once they grow!

I wonder if I can.

I should have chosen an easier plant.

.

約1ヶ月前に種まきをした長ネギ

ちゃんと育ってます。

種まきして気がついたのですが、収穫するのに時間がかかり、

ある程度大きくなったら植え替えしないといけないようです。

出来るかな？

もう少し簡単なものにすればよかった。

Today's balcony

今日のバルコニー

Cockatoo came to the balcony and was eating my daisy flowers.

AH! when I came towards him he was suddenly surprised and knocked over my pot.

コカトゥー（白オオム）が雛菊をむしゃむしゃと、

あ～　私が近寄った瞬間にびっくりして、鉢をひっくり返されてしまいました。

It is a shame I couldn't take a photo of his cheeky face

with him having the flower in his beak.

花を横にくわえたお茶目な顔を撮れなかったのが残念。。

.

Because a few flowers were bent,

I cut them and put them into a small cute bottle.

何本か折れていたので、カットして可愛い小瓶に挿しました。
