ジャスミンの香り/Jasmine fragrance time

レインコーブのあちらこちらで,

ジャスミンの花が開花し始めてきました。

Here in Lane Cove the Jasmin's flowers are starting to bloom.

毎年、この時期から夏にかけて、
特に夕方からジャスミンの香りがバルコニーに漂ってきます。

この香りを楽しみながら深呼吸すると
すごく幸せな気分になって癒されます、不思議ですね！

 

Every year from spring to summer the fragrance of Jasmin,
especially in the evening, comes to our balcony.

When I smell the fragrance of the Jasmin and inhale I feel relaxed and happy.
 It is a kind of mysterious.

ここはうちのユニットのゴミ置き場の入り口です。

This gate is the entrance to the place we keep our rubbish bins.

隣の家のジャスミンが垣根を超えて

This Jasmin comes over the wall from our neighbors place.

ゴミ置き場の横にある木に、ジャスミンの花が、

覆いかぶさるように咲いているので、

ここもフレッシュな香りがしてます。

There is a tree next to the rubbish bin,

the Jasmin grows over it and even here it has a very refreshing smell.

 

アボンビューのつぼみ/ Avonview buds

雨上がりの今朝のバルコニー。

ラベンダー ”アボンビュー”のつぼみが色づき開花し始めました。

After the rain on our balcony this morning.

The Avonview lavender plant buds are changing colour have begun to open. 

レインコーブ散策/Walking in Lane Cove

先週の休暇中に、にーちゃんと一緒にレインコーブ散策を楽しみました。
気温は16-7度ぐらいで散歩するにはちょうどいい気候です。

Last week's holiday time I went for a walk with Ni-chan in Lane Cove.

It was perfect weather for a walk, the temperature was 16-17 degrees.

この時期は、ジャカランダの葉が緑から黄緑に変わっていきます。

This time of the year jacaranda tree's leaves change colour

from green to a yellowish green.

このブッシュウォーキングは初めてです。

中に入っていきました。

It was the first time I have I been here.

This is the start of the walk.

 

ここにも大きなシダの木があります。

ブッシュに入るとよく見る光景です。

Here is a tree fern.
It is a typical sight in the bush

ブッシュウォークから出た所はすぐ住宅街になっています。

After the bush is a residential area.

公園を抜けると

Then a park.

フィールドになってます。

Then there is a field.

 

そしてハーバーにでます。

and the harbour

レインコーブは、来月春を迎えます。

Next month spring is coming to Lane Cove.

  

ラベンダ/Lavender

前からバルコニーに置きたかったラベンダが仲間入りしました。

テラコッタ鉢に植え替え、どこに置こうかとあっちこっちに移動させながら。。。

The newest plant we have is Lavender, which I always wanted for our balcony.

I changed it into the terracotta pot and moved it to many different places 

to find the best position

私は、このブリックとブリックに置いた方が感じがいいかな？

と思ったのですが。。

にーちゃんがもっと日が当たる所がいいのではと言うので、結局ここに置くことにしました。

I thought here was a good place between the others,

 but Ni-chan said that maybe it would be better in a place where it could catch the sun.

レディースナイト/Ladies night at Epping

今回のレディースナイトは、エッピングにある韓国料理の豆腐レストランに行ってきました。

とにかくみんな食べものがだーい好きで、美味しい店があると聞けば

あっちこっち出かけてます。

This time we went to a Korean Tofu Restaurant in Epping.

We all love food so whenever we discover a great place we get together for dinner.

チゲ（明太子の豆腐鍋）、チジミ、石鍋栗ご飯

Tofu nabe a Korean pancake called "chijimi" and chestnut rice.

Chicken risotto

素麺とピリ辛炒め？

この他にもいろいろ頼んだのですが写真を撮る間もないぐらい

みんな箸をつけるのが早い！

I don't know what to call this one.

We ordered more dishes than I've shown in pictures because everyone

was too quick for me - the food was taken before I could get a shot.

最後は石鍋にくっついたおこげご飯をとって楽しんでいる人がいました。

いつものように楽しく、美味しく、安くで、ちょっと食べ過ぎてしまいました。

As usual it was fun, delicious and we ate too much!

楽しい夜/A fun night

今日から４日間仕事を休みます。

昨日はちょっと早めに仕事を切り上げて、にーちゃんと一緒に

ロックスにあるワインバーに行ってみました。

職場のすぐ近くで、前はレストランだったのですがこんなお洒落なバーに

なっているの全然気がつきませんでした。

I took four days off work from today.

I finished work a bit early last night and met Ni-chan and

went to a wine bar in The Rocks.

It is very close to where I work but I didn't realize that the old restaurant that

was there had been replaced by a very nice wine bar.

かなりの種類のワインがあります。

この日はレストランの奥にワインの試飲コーナーがありました。

ワインと言えばチーズ。

チースプラッターをオーダーしてみました。

４種類のチーズとナッツ、ハニー 、チャツネ等がのっていました。
美味しいだけじゃなく盛り付けかたも勉強になりますね。　

There are so many different kinds of wine.

This day they were doing wine testing in the bar.

Of course along with wine there is always food - cheese and other delicacies

We ordered a cheese platter.

There are four kinds of cheese along with nuts, honey, chutney etc..

Not only was it delicious but it gave me tips how to present cheese nicely on a plate.

うーん、大満足！

I enjoyed it very much.

この後、にーちゃんと一緒にもう一度、見たかったジャージーボーイズの

ミュージカルに行ってきました。

After this, we went to Jersey Boys musical which I wanted to go see one more time.

I wanted Ni-chan to see it too, because it is fantastic!

とても素敵な夜でちょっと恋人時代に戻ったような感じがしました。

It was a wonderful night. It felt like going on a date.
