今朝も大雨

シドニーは3日続きの雨でしたが。。

Heavy rain again this morning.

It has been raining in Sydney for the past three days...but

11:09 AM

1時間後には雨が上がり

あっという間にこんな感じになりました。

Within an hour the rain stopped and the sun appeared.

11:40 AM

今日は久しぶりに1日中いいお天気になりました。

Then it was good weather for the rest of the day.

ジャカランダのカーペット/Jacaranda carpet

 

今日は金曜日。

ルンルン気分で帰ってきたら、うちユニットの入り口にある

ジャカランダが美しいカーペットで迎えてくれました。

Today is Friday,

 I was happy to be home and was greeted by a Jacaranda welcome beautiful carpet.

ちょっとした楽しみ/It's fun seeing!

バルコニーの隣に洗濯物を干す場所があって、そこに土だけのプランターを置いてます。

2週間ぐらい前に気がついたのですか、何かが発芽していました。

We have a seperate part of our balcony that is used as an area to hang washing.

 I had a pot of soil there that I wasn't using.

I realized about two weeks ago, something germinated.

この前日に見た時は黒い種皮かぶっていて何か分からなかったのですが。。

どうも、ヒマワリのようです。

それに双葉の下にはからになったヒマワリの種が落ちてました。

ロリキートにあげてる餌用ヒマワリの種がプランターに舞い込んだんですね。

When I looked at one day before  it was a black seed coated and didn't know what it was.

I think it might be a Sunflower that came from the seeds that we feed lorikeets.

すごい生命力のヒマワリちゃん、毎日ちょっと楽しみになってきました。

シドニーは昨日、今日と雨で気温が18度前後です。

This great vitality sunflower!

It's fun seeing it grow every day.

Sydney is rainy today and yesterday, and temperature is around 18 degrees. 

 

 

レインコーブのジャカランダ/Jacaranda in Lane Cove

 

昨日の夕方、にーちゃんと一緒にレインコーブでジャカランダ散策を楽しみました。

曇り空で涼しく、散歩にはちょうどいい気候でした。

この時期は新緑も美しく、ジャカランダの藤色ととてもマッチしています。

Yesterday we went for a walk to see Jacarandas in Lane Cove.

It is cloudy and cool but it was perfect weather for a walk.

This time of the year new green leaves are so beautiful too

and matching with the purple Jacarandas.  

　

ジャカランダとスタージャスミン/Jacaranda tree and Star Jasmin

今年も、うちのユニットの入り口にあるジャカランダが満開になりました。

The Jacaranda tree in our garden is now in full bloom.

そして、ジャカランダの木の下はスタージャスミンに覆われてます。

And

 under the Jacaranda tree are cavered with Star Jasmin.



　

海辺のアート/Sculpture by the sea 2011

昨日は、スカルプチャー・バイ・ザ・シーを見に行きました。

ボンダイビーチから隣のタマラマビーチ沿いに100を超える作品が展示されています。

この辺の景観はとても美しく、作品はそれにマッチする素晴らしいものばかりでした。

Yesterday we went to Bondi to see the Sculpture by the Sea.

There are more than a hundred sculptures displayed along the walk that follows the coast from Bondi to Tamarama beach.

This place is very beautiful and the artworks are a good match for the place.
