レインコーブの楽しい夜/Fun night in Lane cove

先週の土曜日、レインコーブに最近オープンしたタパス バーに友達のかおるちゃん、

ミスターX、高木先生と私達の5人で行ってきました。

Last Saturday we went to a tapas bar that has recently

opened with Kaoru, Mr X and Takagi sensei.

隠れ家的な小じんまりとした雰囲気のいいレストランです。

It is a small restaurant has a good atmosphere - kind of like a hideout.

十数種類オーダーしてみましがどれもとても美味しかったです！

We ordered more than ten dishes - they were all so delicious.

このあとパプで一杯

After we went to a pub for a drink.

ミスターXがフライドポテトを注文

えー！まだ食べるの？？？

Mr X ordered chips. I thought EH! can he really eat more??

家の帰り道、この辺りで時々ポッサムを見ると話していたら。。

あっ,電線の上にいるポッサムを発見


On the way home I was talking about the possums I often see on this street


Then I saw one the power line.




It was a fun night!

ジャカランダの季節/Jacaranda time

家のユニットの入り口にあるジャカランダが満開になってます。

今年は少し気温が低かったせいか、昨年より少し遅めの開花です。

The Jacaranda tree in our garden is now in full bloom.

This year was a bit cool so the flowers opened later than last year.

今、シドニーでは緑と藤色のジャカランダのコントラストがとても綺麗です。

Now Sydney's green trees contrasting with the purple Jacarandas is beautiful.

スカルプチャー ボンダイ/ Sculpture by the sea 2010

Sculpture by the sea at Bondi 2010

先週の土曜日、にーちゃんと一緒にボンダイビーチにスカルプチャー

(彫像、造形）バイ　ザ　シー　を見に行きました。

ボンダイビーチから隣のタマラマビーチの海岸沿いに

100以上のスカルプチャーが展示されていました。

いろんな作品を見ながらの散歩は飽きることなくとても楽しかったです。

天気がよく気温も高かったので沢山の人がビーチにいました。

Last Saturday Ni-chan and I went to Bondi to see the Sculpture by the Sea

exhibition that are displayed along the walk the follows

the coast from Bondi to Tamarama beach.

It was a very nice walk.

The weather was hot and there were many people on the beach and in the water.

毎年、世界中から作品が集められて10月の終わりから11月に
2週間ほど展示されています。


Every year artists from all over the world show their work
from late October to mid November.

日本人の作品も何点かありました。

知り合いのジェラミーの作品です。

先週ジェラミーに会ったのがここに来る切っ掛けになったのです。

This one is by Jeremie Carter, he is an acquaintance of mine.

Nature

自然も作品も素晴らしくとても充実した1日になりました。

It was a wonderful day looking at beautiful nature and sculpture.

アイザックのバースデー/Isaac's birthday

18歳、お誕生日おめでとう！！

先週の土曜日アイザックのバースデーパーティーに招待されました。

アイザックが3歳の時から知ってますが、ほんとに大きくなりました！！

大きいだけじゃなく、優秀で良い子なんです。

来月はアメリカのハリウッドでオーディションに参加します。

こんな時にいいカメラを忘れて携帯電話カメラでの撮影です。

残念。。

Happy 18th Birthday!!

Last Saturday we were invited Isaac's birthday party.

I've known Isaac since he was three, he has grown to become a fine young man.

Next month he is going to Hollywood, California for an audition.

ジョンのスピーチ、ジーンときました。
John's speech, I was moved!

マオリ族の伝統的な歌と踊りが披露されました。

有名なハカも間近で初めて見ることが出来て感動しました。

Some Maori dancers did a traditional ceremony that included the haka.

招待客50人ぐらいの大きなホームパーティーでした。

ジョンとウェイン準備大変だったでしょうね。

There were about 50 people there.

It was a big party held in John and Wayne's home.

It must of been a lot of work for Wayne and John to organise.

高木先生/Takagi sensei

2010年11月2日、日本から高木先生が来豪されました。

2nd of November 2010 Takagi sensen come back to Sydney from Japan.

.

先生には到着されたその日から稽古をつけて頂いて、

今日はみんなの気合も違っていました。

Sensei came to the dojo on the same day he arrived from Japan.

Everyone was very excited and they all practiced very hard.

雨上がりの後。。/After the rain

昨日の夕立後、びしょ濡れになってキッチンの窓から覗いているロリキート達です。

頭のところが可愛いですね！！

After yesterday's afternoon rain wet lorikeets came to our kitchen window.

His wet head looks so cute!!
