ジャージーボーイズ/Jersey Boys

今日は、ラッキーなことに友達のジョンとウェインのプレゼントで

ジェーシボーイズを一緒に観に行ってきました。

.

Today I went to see Jersey Boys with John and Wayne.

It was a present from them.

.

Theatre Royal at Sydney

.

知っている歌がいっぱいあるのと、俳優さんの歌、踊りが素晴らしかったです。

舞台、照明も頻繁に変わって飽きることがありませんでした。

もう一度観たい、かなりお勧めのミュージカルです。

.

There are so many songs we know and the actors singing and dancing was wonderful.

The stage and lights changed quite often, I didn't get bored at all.

I would like to see it again, I highly recommend.

ロリキートの赤ちゃんNo2/Baby lorikeet No2

2011年1月23日、24日

ロリキートの赤ちゃんが1週間ぶりに戻ってきました。

" キューチャン "と呼ぶことにしました。

調べたところによると親と一緒に巣立って2週間ぐらいで自立するそうです。

この日は親鳥の姿はありませんでした。

.

It has been a week since the baby lorikeet first came to our balcony.

We call it "Q-chan".

I did some research on the internet and read that the baby lorikeet leaves

the nest with the parents and they stay together for about two weeks

before leaves and lives alone.

On this day I didn't see the parents so it seems that Q-chan is now alone.

左の羽にちょっと傷があります。

It's left wing has a white mark, some kind of injury.

この角度から見ると 1週間前より姿勢がよくなってきてます。

今週は一度も見なったけど。。無事に育ってくれていることを願っています。

From this angle you can see that his posture is much better

than just one week earlier.

This week I didn't see it - I hope that he is safe.

ロリキートの赤ちゃん/Baby lorikeet

ロリキートの赤ちゃんです。

Here is a baby lorikeet.

昨日の朝、小雨の中、ロリキートのカップルがバルコニーに

赤ちゃんを連れて来ました。

でも、ほんの1分くらい。

姿勢が前かがみで、しっかりと歩けずによちよちしてました。

一見、成鳥と変わらないように見えますが、鳴き方が違うのと、

くちばしと目の周りがまだ黒いですね。

Yesterday during a morning drizzle,

a pair of lorikeets brought their baby to our balcony.

They only stayed for about one minute.

Baby lorrikeets are very awkward on their feet and lean forward like they have bad posture.

At first sight the chick looks similar to the adult

but have a different cry (very high pitched) and constant like they are crying.

Also they have a black beak and are black around the eyes.

親鳥たちはちょっと離れた所から見つめています。

カップルの写真は撮りそこねてしまいました。

写真を撮った後すぐに赤ちゃんが飛び降りるような感じでいなくなり、

親鳥たちも続いて飛んで行ってしまいました。

While the baby was exploring the parents were watching from nearby.

I couldn't get a photo of the parents.

Just after I took these photos the baby disappeared over the side and the parents went after it.

新年/New Year 2011

明けましておめでとうございます。

今年もよろしくお願いいたします。

Happy New Year!!

夫婦の七転び八起き,招き猫、ガラスのうさぎ、鍔、

かおるちゃんの折り鶴,畳の敷物、全て思い出の頂き物です。

縁起ものを集めて玄関に飾ってみました。

I collected some good luck things we have received as gifts over the years

and displayed them in the entrance hall.

元旦は友達と一緒に新年会をしました。

We had a New Year party with some friends at home on New Year's Day.

「にーちゃん、今年もラブラブでいようね」

Shinko: Ni-chan this year will be love-love won't it?

あれ？なんでそっち向き？？
Ni-chan: Of course!

家のお正月料理はお雑煮と鉄板焼き
We zouni (New Year Mochi soup), and teppanyaki

今年は夫婦で年男、年女です。

ピョンピョン跳ねて飛躍の年になることを願っています。

2011年　皆さんにとって良い年になりますように！！



This year is year of Rabbit (Chinese Zodiac) and it is our year- we were
both born in the Year of the Rabbit.
We are hoping that the rabbit will jump for us this year.
I hope it will be a good year for all of you in 2011!!
