They're back!

久しぶりのロリキート

This evening, when I was having a glass of champagne,

lorikeets came to join me.

今日の夕方、バルコニーでシャンパンを飲んで寛いでいたら、

久しぶりにロリーキートが遊びに来てくてました。

Always so cute!

いつ見ても可愛いです。

It is season Crape Myrtle now

百日紅のシーズンです。

I can see from my house beautifil Crape Myrtle blooming now.

家からも美しい百日紅が見られますよ。

Friday night Lane Cove plaza

金曜日の夜のレインコーブプラザ

This time of year it is still light at 7:00pm.

In Lane Cove's plaza there are
so many family here. Looks like meeting father after just finish work.

I was meeting Ni-chan after work too.

夜と言っても午後7時、サンセットまで1時間ぐらいあるので,

会社帰りお父さんたちが子供達と合流しているようですね。

私も会社帰りにーちゃんと待ち合わせ。

It was raining in Lane Cove at sunset today,

but the sun dyed the sky a beautiful pink and purple colour.

この頃、Lane Coveでは雨が降っていたのですが、

空がきれいなピンクとパープルに染まっていました。

Gerroaへ週末旅行　2010年1月15日－1月17日No1

Day 1 Friday - Cloudy

We went to Gerroa on Friday where John has a holiday house.

1日目　金曜日　曇り

金曜日から休みをとってジョンの別荘のあるGerroaに行きました。

It has take about 3 hours from Central to Gerroa by train and car.

セントラル駅からGerroaまで電車と車で約3時間弱

We could see beautiful mountain, ocean. farms from the train.

車窓からの 山、海、農場の景観がとれも美しいです。

As soon as we arrived, we went for a walk.
着いてすぐににーちゃんとGerroa 散策

Just after 5:00 we went fishing on the rocks with John.

5時過ぎからジョンと3人でロックフィッシングに出かけました。

I've been learning new techniques for fishing from the rocks from John.

ジョンから釣りのコツを教わっているところです。

It was cloudy, but the sunset was beautiful.

曇っていたけどサンセットが奇麗でした。

Ni-chan caught the first fish.
にーちゃんが最初に釣った魚です。

John then caught this one.

Then I caught this one.

私が釣った魚 　

Between us, we caught seven fish but they were all too small to keep

so we released them back into the ocean.

In Australia, they don't take any fish less than 30cm - but of course

some fish have to be (like Tuna) have to be even bigger.

みんなで7匹ぐらい釣ったけどすこし小さかったので、全部海に返してあげました。

オーストラリアは釣る魚のサイズに制限があるので30cm以下のは

種類にもよりますが、海に返さなくてはいけません。

It was a busy day.

This is the only shop in Gerroa.

They sell food, newspapers, fishing gear and is the Post Office.

We didn't have the internet so we went to

buy newspapers - it's good to have this kind of life sometimes.

この町でただひとつの小店、郵便局兼本屋、釣具、肉や野菜屋 です。

インターネットが使えなかったので新聞を買いにいきました。

たまにはこんな生活もいいですね！

After that we wen to the market in the next town in the car.

There is lots of nice scenery as we passed through farmland on the way.

いい眺めです。

After the market, we went for a swim in the ocean, then we went fishing again.

マーケットの後は、海水浴を楽しんで、
夕方からまたまた釣り

I was worried about the weather so I kept watching the sky

and didn't notice when the fish kept taking my bait.

私、空ばかり心配して、何度も餌をとられてしまいました。

This day we only caught this one (caught by John) and

we let it go into a rock pool from where it was swept back into the sea.

It was too cute to eat.

今日はジョンが一匹だけ釣って岩場のプールでしばらく泳がせて逃がしました。
食べるには可愛い過ぎます。

By this time we were only ones left - on the rocks

because of the rain and thunder and lightning.

I was scared.

この頃から周りは誰もいなくなり雨、風が強くなり始めて、最後は雷雨になりました。

あー怖かった。

Last night around 11pm, I was watching video on a computer...

when I suddenly realized that there was a spider as big as my hand on the wall beside me!

Ahhh!

I was so scared, I've never seen a spider as big is that one.

Ni-chan was already in bed and I woke him to come....

"Ni-chan, Monster ....... monster ....."

Ni-chan "what's"

I said, Monster!.......monster!

Ni-chan "What's?"　

"Monsterrrrrrr"

I wanted to tell him that there was a monster spider but in my panic

I forgot the English word "spider" so I said "Monster! Monster!!

昨日の夜11時ごろ、パソコンで’動画を見ていたら何と天上に掌を広げたぐらいの蜘蛛が。。。

ゾー

こんなに大きな蜘蛛を見たのは初めてです。

寝ているにーちゃんを起こしに行って、

「にーちゃん、モンスター　。。。。モンスター　。。。。」

にーちゃん｢何？｣、　

私｢モンスター。。。。モンスター。。。。」、

にーちゃん｢何？」、

私｢モンスターーーー」

「モンスター　スパイダーがいる」と言いたかったのだけど、びっくりし過ぎて蜘蛛のことを

英語でスパイダーって言うのを忘れていました。

New year party 02/01/2010

新年会　2010年1月2日

We had a New Years party with Yuko, Kaoru and Mr X plus lorikeets.

今年の新年会は、私達2人に、ゆうこちゃん、かおるちゃん、Mr X

プラス　ロリキートで行いました。

かおるちゃんが、自分で縫った浴衣を着て来てくれました。

Very pretty!!

良く似合ってます。かわいいですね！！

We drank nice sake that we got from Asami.

麻美ちゃんからの北海道のお酒をみんなで頂きました。

ありがとう！！

Mr X cut king fish that I got from a work friend.

会社の友達から貰ったハマチをMr X　がお刺身にしてくれました。

Mr. X cooked all the parts of the fish after the sashimi so there was nothing wasted.

残りの魚も全部お煮付けにしてくれました。

Mr X caught some Yellowtail fish in New year that we cooked on the BBQ.
with Ni-chan's steaks.

あじは元旦にMr Xが釣って来たものです。

They were quite nice too.

あじのひらきもなかなか美味しかったです。
