月と景色を一緒に撮るのはちょっと難しいです。

かきフライ/Fried oyster

今日はなんだか急にカキフライが食べたくなり、

生がきをにーちゃんに買ってきてもらいました。

シドニーでは1年中,新鮮な牡蠣が手に入り、生がき用に殻付きで売っています。

今夜は、早めのディナーで半分はかきフライ、半分は生でいただきました。

Today we had an early dinner.

 I really wanted to have kaki fry (Fried Oyster),and asked Ni-chan to buy some oysters.

In Sydney it is easy to buy fresh oysters all year round.

 They are always sold fresh in the shell.

 I had half of the oysters fried and half natural (raw).

スーパーで買ったパン粉で日本とはちょっと違ってますが、

中はジューシーでなかなか美味しく出来ました。

I bought a bread crumbs from the supermarket,
it is a bit different to Japanese bread crumbs,
 but after cooking was quite delicious.

クリスマス2011年/Our Christmas 2011

クリスマスはいかがでしたか？

私は、今年も２人だけのクリスマスを過ごしました。

How was your Christmas?

We had Christmas just the two of us again this year.

バルコニーの東側には大きなクリスマスツリーが見えます。

View from east side, there is a big Christmas tree.

今年は友達のジョンの手作りビスケットとチョコレートを頂きました。

Our friend John made short breads and chocolate.

クリスマスの夜のデザートにしました。

美味しかったです！！

I had this for desert. It was delicious!

毎年同じようなシーフードBBQ

We had a similar seafood BBQ that we have every year.

でもこの同じなのがまた１年に一度の楽しみなんですね。

But, even though it was similar to what we have every year
we were both looking forward to it.

クリスマスイブのレインコーブ/Xmas Eve in Lane Cove

今日はクリスマスイブ

シドニーは明日から４日間クリスマスホリデーに入ります。

昨日まで仕事が忙しく、今年のレインコーブのクリスマスツリーを見てなかったので、

買い物がてらに見に行きました。

Today is Christmas Eve.

From today,we have four days Christmas holiday in Sydney.

I have been so busy I haven't had time to see the Lane Cove Christmas tree but today while shopping I saw it.

The Lane Cove Christmas tree is always a real tree.

シドニーのクリスマスイルミネーション/Christmas lights in Sydney

昨日は会社のクリスマスパーティーでした。

レストランがこのタウンホールのすぐ近くで、

クリスマスの為にカラフルなパターンにライトアップされているのに見とれていたら、

帰りのバスに乗り遅れてしまいました。

Yesterday our company held our Christmas party.

 It was held in a restaurant near this is the Town Hall, the lights change colours make many patterns,

I couldn't stop watching and I missed the bus to go home.

これはタウンホールの近くのQVBのクリスマスツリーです。

This is a view of the nearby Queen Victoria Building's Christmas tree.

レディースナイト/Ladies night at kai

今回の(12月7日)のレディースナイトは珍しく全員参加でニュートラルベイにある

「会」日本食レストランに行ってきました。

This time we went to Kai Japanese restaurant in Neutral bay.

Everyone in our group joined.

薄造りと北京ダックじゃなく東京ダックです。

It is a thin slice of sashimi and Tokyo duck similar to Peking duck.

バッテラ寿司

Bateira sushi - Mackerel marinated in vinegar sushi.

この他にも色々オーダーしました。

人数が多いと沢山の種類が楽しめます。

毎回、数週間、人によっては数ヶ月ぶりに会うので、話すこともいっぱい、

食べることも忙しくあっという間に時間が過ぎてしまいます。

今年は全員でクリスマス会、忘年会を出来てよかったです！

 

We ordered more things than what I've shown.
We could enjoy so many different dishes today.
We all are not able to meet so often, so some of my friends
 I haven't seen for a few months.
 We had so many things to talk about, the time went very quickly,
especially because we were so busy eating.

Part 6-The end

日曜日の朝は大雨になりました。

お昼、雨が小降りになった頃、ジェロアの近くにあるベリーと言う町に出かけました。

ここでは月に1回カントリーマーケットが開催されています
この日は雨の為、出店が少なかったのが残念でした。

プラント、野菜、フルーツ、
ホームメイドケーキ、ビスケット、ジャム等のカントリープードや
アンティーク物　ハンドクラフトはオリジナリティに溢れた物が多く、
私が大好きなマーケットの一つです。

Sunday morning, it was raining heavily,
but in the afternoon when the rain eased, we went to the nearby town of Berry.

Once a month they hold a country market.
On this day, because of the rain there were less stalls than usual.

The Berry market is one of my favorites,
 they sell: plants, vegetables, fruits, home-made cakes, biscuits, jams, etc - typical country foods.
They also sell antiques, handcrafts, many original things can be found there.

すごーく大きなプードル。

本物ですよ。スタンダードプードルなんですね。

Very big poodle.

They say that this is a 'standard size' poodle.

Looks like a big toy but it is a real live dog.

夕方、またベリーに戻ってきて

このメインストリートにあるベーカリーでミートパイを買いました。

ここのパイは最高です！

Later in the afternoon, we went back into town and bought meat pies from this shop.

They are the best.

土曜日の夕食はジョンのゴージャスBBQでした。

Saturday night John made a gorgeous BBQ.

Baby Octopus, scallop and beef BBQ plus potato salad.

美味しいBBQ、ご馳走様でした！！
